Racial rioting
Race was a major factor in the London riots. Not because they were Black or even White. But because they were not Asian. In many countries where both Blacks and Whites live where these is a disaster society collapses and people descend into the hell hole of rioting, looting, and general unpleasantness.
However in Japan, when disaster strikes society keep going. This is highlighted by the recent news that ¥2.3billion in cash was handed back to owners during the clear up after the Japanese Tsunami. This money was found in safes, wallets and also included gold bars and antiques. One safe had the equivalent of nearly £600K in it.
It’s worth bearing in mind that in Japan a lot of people keep cash in their homes rather than in a bank, especially in coastal areas where the fishing industry is mainly cash based.
The montage shown also highlights another difference between the two societies.

I have nothing to say to a cheap batty bwoy huckster like you Ciaran Rehill
since you pretended that had no links with the EDL and BNP. I have not
forgotten the problems and distress you caused those involved in the
Justice4Smiley Culture campaign. So FOAD you racist.

I suppose if people are completely honest most of the looting robbing
burning and killing in the recent disorders was carried out by black people
and certain thick white Chav people who speak like they were black. I would be
very interested to here what Lee Jasper has to say about it.

Sorry about my earlier intemperate comments about plod, it’s just that I
have had a bad day. My Chinese lover has told me I’ve got to find somewhere
else to live and I had only just settled in. Additionally I have been told I
am being investigated for inciting violence via my twitter page and blog
during the recent uprisings. By the way when I say I have lived in Iceland and
Morocco, I should say I had a long weekend in Morocco with an elderly
gentleman and a stag weekend in Iceland.

I don’t think this has anything to do with race to be fair…. nor are riots
and looting the preserve of any particular nation.
If say, a tsunami were to rip up the Irish sea flooding Morecambe Bay,
Lancaster and critically damaging the nuclear power plants at Heysham and
Sellafield. Do you seriously think for a minute the first thing that will
cross the minds of the good folks of Manchester would be to go loot the
nearest Bargain Booze or Currys?
I agree the Japanese have highly developed sense of civic pride but mostly
its because their close family structures haven’t broken down to the degree
that it has here. But, having said that, the Japanese have rioted in he past
and for a period in the late 1960′s were particularly quick to commit wanton
acts of destruction and anarchy.
Similarly, many other Asian countries have been fond of the odd riot or
two. In the past both Hong Kong and Singapore have had troubles on numerous
occasions. More recently there has been rioting in Indonesia in both 2010 and
again this year with a dozen dead. In Malaysia only a month or so ago (and
barely reported in the west) the authorities shut down the entire city centre
of Kuala Lumpur to prevent a riot… no trains, no buses, no cars. You could
leave but no one could enter. And of course we shouldn’t forget the horrible
red/yellow shirt riots in Thailand (91 dead on the last occasion). Today,
right now, there is mass rioting in the Chinese region of Xinjiang due to
ethnic/religious tensions between the Han Chinese and Muslim Uighurs (30 dead
so far).
Elsewhere, there was serious rioting in Moscow last year that ended the
lives of 29 people. And Canada, of all places, is highly riot prone judging
from its past history (last kick-off was June this year).
The point I’m making is that riots can and do arise from time to time for a
whole manner of reasons. They can happen anywhere, to any race at any time.
What is remarkable in our case is that the English 2011 Riots appear to
have none of the usual causes (despite what the left would like to hang on
them) and were really nothing more than straight naked hooliganism.

No, nothing racial about the riots, except the rioters of course. In fact
there weren’t any riots and if you saw any please be quiet about it.

The Japanese have race pride. As do assorted other large countries who are
succeding. the UK has diversity indoctrination ad lib and a declining
country.

Utter cojones, race played a minimal part.

Go live in Lagos or Haiti, then live in Iceland or Idaho. If the race is
good the place is good.

So the whole of Japanese society is honest and the whole of “English” (it
was, according to the BBC “English riots”) society are looters and
rioters.
Some people do write bollux.

I said much the same at my own place when people were asking “Why is there no looting in Japan? after the tsunami.
However I would like to point out that most Japanese, see themselves as
just that Japanese and hate being lumped in with ‘Asia’ and positively dislike
being described as Asian. esp South Asia (where they riot at the drawing of a
cartoon) Certainly when I was there BBC World News used to distinguish between
News from Asia (inc. China, Singapore, India etc.) and News from Japan, due to
this.
It’s amazing how 2 countries so similar (still drive on the left) could
have turned out so different in 2011 , but then Japan is an island nation and
it is easy keeping control of immigration and border checks, if you are an
island , oh wait.

The difference to here is that if you have a wedge of cash in this country,
the tax man assumes you’ve acquired it through nefarious means and hasn’t been
declared for his slice of the action

I don’t think London is noted for its large Japanese population or that
Japan is noted for its large number of immigrants.
Maybe the more homogenous the population the more it sticks together? Has
London lost its ‘blitz spirit’ now that the majority of its residents weren’t
born there?
Group dynamics are probably bi-stable worldwide. If nobody is seen to loot
then who is going to break ranks? If ‘everyone’ seems to be doing it then it
becomes harder not to join in. It is probably just chance whether or not the
system flips. BBC Radio 4′s “More Or Less” discussed this idea: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b0132pk7
