Two things strike me about the video clip.
The first is the parochial assumption that one could legislate against this. The USA might put some laws in place, but then anonymous comments would just be hosted somewhere else – Iceland, for example. Is the USA going to build a firewall, like the ones used by China and Saudi Arabia, to make anonymous blogs inaccessible? If it is, then the Statue of Liberty may as well drop her torch into the sea.
The second is that it comes from a country where some people say that the people must be allowed to bear arms as protection against a tyrannical government. I would expect far more to agree that anonymous blogging was a necessary protection against tyrannical government.
