Americans have such nice teeth.
And anonymous political publication – graffiti or otherwise – has been an important means of political expression, for good and ill, since at least Roman times. For obvious reasons, dear.

Gildas,
I am always amazed at the number of people who think that if you call yourself John Smith you aren’t anonymous on the internet……..
John Smith can be as much of a psuedonym as ‘Gilded Lily’ or the ubiquitous ‘Anon’ !!!!!!!

When I met Mr G he had a pine stripping service, and used to drive round in a van which said ‘Hampton stripping service’.
Seemed sensible to him, he was based on the Hampton Industrial Estate, he couldn’t understand why all my friends cracked up laughing everytime he parked outside the house…….

Two things strike me about the video clip.

The first is the parochial assumption that one could legislate against this. The USA might put some laws in place, but then anonymous comments would just be hosted somewhere else – Iceland, for example. Is the USA going to build a firewall, like the ones used by China and Saudi Arabia, to make anonymous blogs inaccessible? If it is, then the Statue of Liberty may as well drop her torch into the sea.

The second is that it comes from a country where some people say that the people must be allowed to bear arms as protection against a tyrannical government. I would expect far more to agree that anonymous blogging was a necessary protection against tyrannical government.
