Morning all…….
I shall be away for a few days.
Regular posters are welcome to continue their good natured banter; unfortunately, I have to put comment moderation on for new posters, and there will be no one to release them until my return.

According to someone, can’t remember who, today, in times of recession the
one industry that does well, or better than before, is the alcohol industry.
So Coco and Blink it’s your time, enjoy.
- February 28, 2009 at 20:05

Hi Blink! Now ……………… I am not sure if this comes under the Self-Erosion Act
of 2008 or the Erosion by Alcohol Act from the 1700s which is a heretofore
little known Act that came about some time during the reign of Queen Ann.
Apparently the Government of those times were quite happy for the Oicks to
poison themselves into oblivion. And ………….. there are some wines and other
alcoholic beverages on the market today that can seriously damage our brains
……………. I shall say no more ………….. But alcohol is a jolly good way of culling
the Oicks …………. or at least incapacitating them. Being an Oick myself I am
fighting against all this ………… and errrrr …………… distilling my own gin!

Morning
hey Coco – eroded? – held a wine tasting last night, eroded, god, my head
has fallen off and rolled under the table……the problem is I can’t remember
which table……I tried phoning it on my mobile phone but didn’t get any
answer…..the Kim Crawford SP Sauvignon Blanc was good though….and the Coney
Pizzicato Pinot Noir one to remember….;0)

Helloooooo! Blink ………………. Do you reckon that we will have as many Human
Rights in one year’s time?
I am persoanlly feeling rather eroded this week.

sorry, forgot to add, …. and does it affect their human rights?

Has someone waved a magic wand over Gloria? :
Not a magic wand, more likely some holy water or a pope’s blessing, as
befits someone with the middle name ‘Hallelujah’.

Reasons to be cheerful – Part 3
It is an undeniable fact that the future survival of rain forests is
becoming more secure. The longer the present financial crisis lasts the
greater the ecological benefits.
By now you must have observed a considerable reduction in junk mail: The
banks are no longer saturating the population with offers of loans, credit
cards, bank accounts and mortgages.
Until now it has been difficult to see a silver lining in the cloud of
recession but every day when we check our mail and it takes about 75% less
time than before we should offer thanks to the bankers.
For the first time in months maybe they can feel that rosy feeling.
- February 27, 2009 at 08:08

Gives you a nice rosy feeling doesn’t it?

Anna’s still away then….? ;0)
Anyone for tennis?
I got up early for a cuppa, having a really dry throat, and thinking I may
be in the beginnings of a head cold… And organised a wine tasting for tonight
so have to be up for it….when I read in the Grauniad that Jack Straw says we
are being daft to believe we live in a police state – that nustassi have
extended our liberties since they came to power. So that’s okay then, I can
now return to bed safe in that knowledge……isn’t life great in the knowledge
that we are being looked after by such noble and caring people……?

Hmm. I’ll think about that one. Maybe not Veronica Lake … you’ll just have
to wait and see… Groucho, perhaps?
I won’t be back till after the weekend now, so cheers (and I’ll bring you
all back some sandwiches in an air-tight container!)
- February 27, 2009 at 00:42
-
Gloria, couldn’t you find yourself a nice Veronica Lake gravatar? It would
blend in very nicely. Not that there is anything wrong with your present one.
Think of it more as a makeover.

Yuk, Saul. But, yes … you may be right.
Good night

It seems pretty obvious that this individual is only able to attack women.
He was probably the last pick in the schoolyard and hides behind the anonymity
that the internet provides. He deserves only our pity. How sad and bitter must
a person have to be to devote so much time and effort to keep these attacks
up?
He can be likened to a dog that keeps returning to its own vomit.
- February 26, 2009 at 23:21

I’ve been surfing a bit and find it unbelievable that there are people as
sick as the one I found on the web.
Though on a lighter side of the alley: thinking that Anna, Coco, Gloria and
myself to name a few are one and the same person … that’s very funny too.
On second thoughts I regret that Saul’s been excluded. I hope he doesn’t
feel offended

Hippoware Party?

February 26, 2009 at 21:30

which is …
.. to say that I understand from reading the OH announcement that someone
out there doesn’t like what Anna says, how she says it or where she says it.
(Sigh of resigned disappointment.)
Well, I like what Anna says very much, I like how she says it and I
particularly like that she says it here. So there.
I often accuse myself of contributing only trivia and puns and that
certainly seems to be welcome in the light-hearted part of this site so far.
It isn’t Anna’s fault that she starts a perfectly pertinent thread and it gets
hijacked by those who cannot resist a pun or 35. I keep coming back for more
banter but more importantly I also feel I can post serious points when I feel
I have something to say.
I wish Anna a most agreeable few days away and I look forward to her
return; I hope she has not only a spring in her step but a brand new spring
wardrobe!
BTW, I am off to a party tomorrow night. I may be some time….

Saul …………………….. Haven’t we positvely been hated in the past!

The last word! Moi?
Seriously I wish more people would leave a post. It
makes it much easier for everyone to join in, with more options to pass
comment on.
As for making yourself look a bit daft; well it hasn’t stopped
me. At the end of the day everyone has complete anonymity, so go on have a go,
no one is going to bite your head off. You never know, you might like it.

Hello Aliens! Bye Coco – I am about to climb aboard my space hopper to go
where no-one has gone before. I’ll be back in an hour, I don’t like to prolong
these journeys.
- February 26, 2009 at 17:54
-
Janes! Talking about talking bollocks …………………. Some Aliens came around my
house last night after I went off-line. Really nice Aliens and very polite.
They were very interested in the current monetary and political crises that
they had already heard about ……………… Because they read Anna Raccoon!!!
Fancy that! Aliens from several Universes away are reading Anna Raccoon
…………………….. And we never know when they are reading us …………… So say ‘Hello
Aliens! We know you are out there!’
- February 26, 2009 at 17:45
-
Awwwwwwwww Janes! You are amongst friends here. I always demonstrate my
ignorance! ………. Sometimes it can make simple people feel very clever for a few
moments.
Janes …………. You are a gift to us all …………. and long may you be blessed with
such humility. I am with you all the way. I know what it is like sit talking
bollocks to oneself all night. But hey! It’s not like we are on the telly and
everyone knowing who we are!
Tell it as it is!!!
- February 26, 2009 at 17:42
-
Bastards!
- February 26, 2009 at 17:26
-
Coco, as you know I have only been around for a few weeks. I was extremely
intimidated – still am when I watch the speed of arival of some of the very
clever responses.
I also feel I’m talking bollocks half the time and actually illustrating my
ignorance to, what was it, 1000 hits a day, well, more people than I care to
imagine.
And most scary is when I post a comment and no-one responds – except Saul
late at night when he’s determined to have the last word (thank you Saul). Now
that’s horrible and I feel as if I am single handedly destroying the Anna
Raccoon blog.
Now I feel like a plonker for writing all this, but what the fuck …
- February 26, 2009 at 17:23

I re-try:
“Yeah, I was new to the bloggosphere too in 2007. Think I

Aie, I am in moderation. And I didn’t even use emoticons
Maybe
because I was referring to A.o.ak?
- February 26, 2009 at 17:11

Janes ………… Sing with me as I ask all these people who peep in at us to
leave us a comment ……………… even if it’s only to tell us how crap we are
………….
Because we are new ………………. we might look like a group of cliquey friends
……………………. It can be quite intimidating joining in.
I once spent months watching a web-site before daring to post.
- February 26, 2009 at 17:04

I feel a song coming on:
Hitler to the right of me, Gordie to the left, here I am, right in the
middle with you.
- February 26, 2009 at 17:02
-
Janes!
I hope you don’t mind me capitalising on your name! (Gordie made me do it!)
I believe that another similarity between the two is that they both have a
ball prolem. Hitler possiby had only one ball and Gordie hasn’t got any
……………

WOW! That’s it then! I shall have two sugars in my cocoa to celebrate!

You are right. Easy to get the two mixed up. How did somebody as ineffectual
and pale as Gordie Bruney arrive at Number 10?
I don’t think this has happened so insidiously since errrrrr …………..
Kristallnacht …………. if I remember rightly. I can’t remember the name of the
guy that slipped so insidiously into our consciousness ………… Small chap with a
moustache and a big pair of lungs …………… Girlfriend call Eva ………… Damned if I
can remeber his name now ………………
- February 26, 2009 at 16:43
-
It is obviously somebody who is scared that the staus quo is changing.
Somebody who is afraid of losing power in some way. This somebody has to be
part of a group. It’s definitely not a schizophrenic or multi-personality
disorder individual. If it was ………….. they would have to be a very dangerous
person who is aleady at this moment locked up in Broadmoor or somewhere
equally secure ……….. Somebody who is perhaps part of a friendly society …………
such as the Masons ……….. not the Co-Op! …………. Who is frightened of the fact
that those who used to write the news …………. are going to out of work!
:grn:
Maybe somebody attached to the media? ………….. But who has fallen from grace
…………. Been given a black ball? And is trying to re-establish themselves?
……………… A Knob-End???

Gordon Brown tells me that Guantanamo Bay is lovely at this time of year.
He remembers watching the seagulls fly so high and soar into the sky, beyond
the cliffs and back again along the headland. The sky was always blue but
there were never many people walking along the beach because of the cold wind.
Then he told me, he was wrong, it was Scarborough. He’s demented!

Madame Chatelaine says: ”WTF pardon my French] is this Anna Buffoon site
about????”
*****************************************************************
It’s
about fear Chatelaine. Fear! But who the fuck has got the time to sit and
knock that pile of sh*te out? In such detail???
If somebody has got that much time on their hands I would like them to come
and use up all that energy by cleaning all the fur of my 88 windows and
picking all the cat-hairs off the backs of my curtains! I have to pay the
cleaner a bloody fortune to do this and she goes home exhausted some
nights.
- February 26, 2009 at 16:27

I think that the only thing left for the Governments of the New World Order
to do is ……………. to switch all of our electric off and shoot the satellites
from the sky!
Coz nothin’s gonna stop the seething masses and hordes who want to have
their say over the internet!
Methinks that the New World Order has spotted anarchy and threats creeping
up on their pseudo-democracy.
Nothing in the history of man has provided such a massive stage for revolt
and revolution.
So come on then Gordie Bruney ……………….. Tell us your secret stories about
Guantanamo Bay! Come on! My cocoa is getting cold …………………….

Went googling for a little while after this news. WTF pardon my French] is
this Anna Buffoon site about????
- February 26, 2009 at 16:21

I have said it before and I will say it again!!! We seem to rattle people
for some reason.
Of course Anna Raccoon is exceedingly good and clever at bringing us the
news at the moment it happens! Even the BBC and CNN can’t do that.
Or most
probably ………… won’t do that!
