+++ Chaytor – Guilty +++
Mr Justice Saunders just sentenced the former Labour MP for Bury, David Chaytor, to eighteen months at Her Majesty’s pleasure after pleading guilty to three counts of false accounting, or stealing £18,000 from the taxpayer, under section 17 of the Theft Act 1968.
Jerusalem! Halleujah!
And did these men in recent time
thieve upon England’s voters green?
And was Lord Hanningfield
to fiddle his expenses seen?
And did the hand of Jim Devine
reach out into our barren tills?
And was Chaytor’s thieving clear
among those damned redacted bills?
Bring me the truth of Morley’s gold!
Bring me the means to trounce a liar!
Bring me my constitutional rights! Evidence, unfold!
Bring me a prosecutor of fire!
I will not cease from contumation
nor shall my pen sleep in my hand,
Till we have jailed the thieving scum
from Parliament’s accursed land.

On the whole I’d have prefered to have had honourable politicians than the
the pleasure of seeing rotten ones sent down.

It’s still only a month per £1000, and we KNOW he won’t serve it all
*gloom*

My sense in British justice is (almost) restored. Now to see how the other
wriggling little bastards fare.
Elliott Morley should be next up in the dock. He’s had his time in the dock
postponed and postponed, and I suspect that there is a super-injunction in
force, as not a single word in the media has appeared about the new trial
date.
Obviously, I have no idea whether he’s guilty as charged or not. And
neither have you.

He’ll be out before too long, but the point has been made, and his career
ruined, and that’s cause for celebration. When they brought in the offence of
Corporate Manslaughter, there was a huge amount of concern and activity in
boardrooms up and down the land. Perhaps this will do the same for MPs’ sense
of self-preservation.

How on earth did I not know about your site until now???
Even spookier considering the above, here’s what I wrote for my own site on
Tuesday, to coincide with the 38 Degree campaign portraying George Osborne as
the Artful Dodger:
“Would you stuff the poor?
Anything!
Change protection
laws?
Anything!
Slam shut every door?
Anything
If they ask for
more?
I’d let em starve…..
I’d do anything,
For rich, pals, anything
Yes I’d do
Anything..
Anything?
Anything for Blue.”
I love a good musical, perhaps we will be the new Rodgers and Hammerstein?
Rice and Lord Webber? Lol.

Nice choice of song to paraphrase, Anna.
A good day. I haven’t punched the air whilst driving for quite a while.

Serves the thieving bastard right. I think I’ll ask Old Nick to set him up
for a good burning!!
Nice lyrics…

If he does only end up serving a few weeks I’m sure the weightlifting
inmates will still be getting the Vaseline ready.
On second thoughts he’s
slippery enough without any of that.

Now,
about the remaining 646..

18 months becomes 9 months becomes 3 months for good behaviour becomes bail
while he appeals. So he might actually serve a week in jail.

Not nearly long enough. After wriggling and wriggling he only pleaded
guilty to cop the least possible sentence and to avoid his daughter having to
either perjure herself or admit to being in it up to her neck. Conspiracy to
defraud.
I sincerely hope that the other inmates manage to serve up some
rough justice for this shameless scrote.
