I would take Mama Grossman’s righteous indignation at her son’s ordeal at the hand’s of modern society’s no more seriously than her previous indignation at the Patriarchal Society —its a purely situational morality coz Mam’s precious boy gets a kicking from the system she supported when she thought it would benefit her. Ahhhhh!!! how I love the law of unexpected consequences for those who seek moral justification with which to rope their claim to personal advantage and how that rope proves to be elastic rather than of finite length and pulls them back with a humiliating snap—-mind you takes a certain chutzpah to think someone should take exception and scream indignation both on the way up and on the way back!!! Silence might be more appropriate at least travelling in one direction or the other.
