The last link to Chris Retro’s blog on the safe driving course is worth following as it is a brilliant piece of essay writing (almost on a par with the Uber Raccoon) encapsulating personal experience and thereon in to a critique of all that is hopeless with the model that is being pressed on Society ———why is it that the characters bring to mind the usefulness and purpose (and the intelligence) of the babushka stationed at the end of the hotel corridor in the old Soviet Union? —– and for those who are interested in the changes in the law and the rise of Slater and Gordon and why social workers are as they are and the sort of person social work attracts follow the links in the piece. It cheers me up on a Saturday morning to think that the powers that be can’t get away with what they are doing without at least some intelliogent comment.
