It is just not going to happen!
Why are the Comrades from UNITE not storming Whitehall, taking to the streets in protest at the ‘Cuts’. After all, the rhetoric from Con-Dem is that they are taking action to stem Government spending by ‘savage cuts’.
Well I for one, and probably the apparatchiks of UNITE, know these ‘Cuts’ are not going to happen. What we are going to see is a slow down in the growth of the State, it will slow down sure, but growth there will be none the less.
What is happening is we are being asked to pay more in Tax to maintain the bloated edifice of the State, and to expect less ‘services’ in return.
This is akin to the Pharaoh saying listen lads the Pyramid has got to be built because it is absolutely essential to your lives, it is a frontline service- pyramid building.
So what we are going to do is build it a bit slower, but cut back on your rice allowance whilst you pay more in Pharaoh-Tax to pay for the stones, the tax collectors, the bloke standing on the blocks of stone waving the bullwhip and the nice lady from diversity control to ensure that we have the right amount of Nubians in relation to native born Egyptian slaves , whoops sorry hard working families.
Then some git at the back of the line of hard working families straining at ropes in 100 deg heat, said “hang on do we actually need to have a Pyramid and what is it for “? At this point the bloke with the bullwhip starts laying into him giving him forty lashes.
How many times do I have to tell you ! Stop thinking ! Your heresy will bring down the fabric of society. What is going to happen to my family if I am not a grade five bull whipper ?
The bloke who was caught thinking, may have been left a bloody pulp lying in the sand, but six of his mates heard what was said. They starting thinking what the bloody hell am I doing this for ? They started not cooperating as willingly as they did before and the Pyramid building just got slower and slower. These six started talking to others, and so it multiplied- What the bloody hell are we building this Pyramid for ? is Pyramid Building really a front line service ?
To be a Libertarian, is to stop building useless structures that oppress you and your family, that reduce you to a state of willing slavery, and to be abused repeatedly by the grade five bullwhipper.
Being a Libertarian requires two difficult steps.
One. To start thinking and challenging
Two. To stop accepting and opposing.
These are hugely difficult steps to take, because as a ‘slave’ you are guaranteed your bowl of rice every day as long as you do not upset the grade five bullwhipper. It is called the Pharoah’s comfort zone.
I am asking you today to take the first step, nothing more, to start thinking. Do we actually need that expensive Pyramid down the road, and would your time not be better spent in looking after your family, than dragging large stones around your neck for no purpose that benefits you.

How short-sighted!
What you need to remember is that the Pharoahs (Greeks or maybe even Scots
as they were) were wise and investing for the future (as all Governments are
and do). Not every could see that of course, but it was so.
The deeply
cynical may have thought they were only trying for a happy and eternal
afterlife, some kind of celestial EU pension, but the truth is gradually being
revealed. Without their foresight the Egyptians may have not had such a
successful tourist industry.
Of course they were way ahead of their time as I believe these edifices
emit no carbon dioxide. Not so sure about camel farts though.

The snag is that between pension schemes and PFI so much money is now
locked into financial commitments and so much committed into high prestige
fancy schemes that cannot be cut in the short term that it is only in basic
services funded by immediate revenues where the cuts can be found. This was
the New Labour Project and why the Tories could get the blame if they do not
spell it out clearly.
