Fishboney Blur: the mystery cat
Fishboney Blur’s a Mystery Cat, he’s called the Hidden Flaw
For he’s the Primal Minister who redefines the law
He’s the bafflement of electors, and Westminster’s despair
For when they penetrate the Prime, there’s simply no one there !
Fishboney Blur, Fishboney Blur, there’s no one in, for hollow, he
Is so lightweight, he ignores the laws of gravity;
His prestidigitation just makes the voters stare,
And if you penetrate the Prime, Fishboney Blur’s not there !
You may see in him the foulest, you may see in him the fair –
But I’ve told you twice, and thrice again, Fishboney Blur’s not there !
Fishboney is a Cheshire cat, he’s fairly tall and slim;
You would know him if you saw him, scared eyes, and vacuous grin,
His mien is furtive, with thoughts of how he’s domed;
His polls are down due to neglect, could even be dethroned !
His eyes they shift from side to side, with sliminess like an adder
But when you’ve pinned this cold snake down, he’s on a diff’rent ladder
Fishboney Blur, Fishboney Blur, there’s no one in, so hollow’s he,
For he’s a snake in feline shape, a Minister of vacuity;
You may see him on the telly, read about him in the ’loids,
But when this Prime’s unraveled, there’s aught but for the boids !
And when the Foreign Office finds its Ethics gone astray,
Or Treasury’s done down the pension folk in its inimitable way,
The door twixt numbers Eleven and Ten, why it does slowly swing,
But if you’d pin it on the top, Fishboney Blur’s not in …
And when this country’s lost in the ever-so-grand EU, with sovereignty gone astray
“It must have been that Fishboney”; but now he’s their president, OK ?
You’ll be sure to find him grinning, and counting Euro-regions,
Or making adversarial excuses, of which he has such legions.
Fishboney Blur, Fishboney Blur, there’s no one like Fishboney Blur,
There never was a Cat of such deceitfulness and suavity,
He always has an alibi, two or three he will have brought,:
And when that dirty deed took place– FISHBONEY WASN’T CAUGHT!
And they say that all the Cats whose wicked deeds are widely known
(I might mention Mandlejerry, Crook of Ethics, or Gordle Brown)
Are nothing more than agents for the Cat who all the time
Has controlled their operations: Fishboney Blur, the Napoleon of Prime!
