Old MacBrown he bet the farm………
Picture courtesy of the inimitable David Forward
Old MacBrown, he blagged the farm, EE-YI-EE-YI-YO!
About his farm he put out stats, EE-YI-EE-YI-YO!
With a ‘boom-boom’ here, and a ‘bust-bust’ there,
Here a boom, there a bust, everywhere a bust-bust,
Old MacBrown, he bet the farm, EE-YI-EE-YI-YO!
Old MacBrown, he did some harm, EE-YI-EE-YI-YO!
And on the farm he put some G.O.A.T.S, EE-YI-EE-YI-YO!
With a Darzi here, and a Digby there,
A Malloch-Brown, and all with flair,
Poor MacBrown, they’ve all left town, EE-YI-EE-YI-YO!
Old MacBrown he chanced his arm, EE-YI-EE-YI-YO!
He gave the Goats some Titles free, EE-YI-EE-YI-YO!
With a Lordship here, and an ermine there,
Here a-gloat, there a-gloat, every goat a-gloatin’,
They’ll remain, the Lord’s Goat-eeee………EE-YI-EE-YI-YO!

Cato, you beat me to it. I nearly had an attack of the vapours when I first read it, and thought “Really, Ms Raccoon. I didn’t realise you knew about such things”.

………..just spare a thought for all those innocent little stoats/weasels who have sacrificed their skins to adorn the robes of these new ‘lords’!
