Renovation, renovation, renovation.
followed by resignation, resignation, resignation……..
Kitty Ussher of the £20,000 house makeover has just resigned, saying she ‘didn’t want to cause Gordon Brown any more embarassment’
Ms Ussher took the step amid reports she flipped the designation of her second home shortly before selling it in 2007, avoiding capital gains tax.
Does that mean he wasn’t embarassed on May 9th when her expenses claim came out?

Don’t hold your breath, Anna; any announcement is only likely to be to the tune of ‘within the rules blah-blah-blah’ I expect; it’s only tax evasion in many cases, after all, and therefore entirely legal.
What cracks me up are the threatening DWP adverts currently running, warning ‘benefit thieves’ that the Government is “closing in” on people making false claims. If this matter of house-flipping isn’t about MPs making false claims for their own benefit, then I’m a monkey’s uncle (which I’m not, even though I may look like one.)

Whoops! That should have been tax AVOIDANCE, not evasion.
