The French are downloading this ‘political’ video in their thousands.

Whilst the British political classes wallow in self pity – other nations are concentrating on the European Elections – June 4th.

Anna Raccoon May 17, 2009 at 10:00 pm: Maybe ’sue’ isn’t quite the right word Henry – that was the press statement issued to the UK press at 7pm last night, but then hours later we heard from Portugal that actually they are ‘going to’ take out an injunction in Portugal, with the intention of ’stopping’ Amaral’s book – which has already been available there and elsewhere on the continent for a year now – not quite the same as the impression given by the press release.
Amaral has said that ‘if’ they do sue in Portugal, he will be only too pleased to see them in court, and will be pleased to sue them for defamation of his character in return. Jo Morais spoke to Amaral and his wife on the phone last night.
Although I have no doubt regarding Jo Morais’s information, I am slightly suspicious of the spin put on the UK version issued by the McCann’s, so I shall wait and see exactly how much of it is true and how much spin before I write anything on it.
It wouldn’t be the first time they have garnered the headlines with a misleading press release.
