Feminists fail to turn a Trick over Jesus’ Cock.
Where is Germaine Greer when you need her?
Radegund was quite a gal – born in 520, daughter of a King of Thuringia, she was brought up in a household of warring murderous brothers fit to rival the Borgias. Eventually she was married off to one of the family – but when the last of her family was murdered, she fled to Poitiers and set up an all-female household – a convent.
She was an early educator; insisting that all her sisterhood could read and write, and were strictly protected from having any contact with men – so much so that the sisters were prevented from attending her eventual funeral in 587.
Quite why she ended up having such a close association with East Anglia is unclear – and probably nothing to do with the fact that the giant rats known to the English as ‘Coypu’ are known to the French as Radegondes – though giant rats certainly figure in this tail tale. [Ed: Quite enough of that]
Suffice it to say that a Priory was established in East Anglia on the Midsummer Commons in her honour. There the Nuns continued their dedicated lives, closeted from the male race, self sufficient thanks to fishing rights granted to them, and able to dedicate their lives to the worship of God, education, and er, the pursuit of more earthly pleasures as befits pukka feminists…..
Archbishop Courtenay in 1389, while making a visitation of the diocese of Lincoln, found Margaret Cailly, a professed nun of St. Radegund’s, living in sin and a secular habit. He sent her to Bishop Fordham of Ely, who returned the apostate to her priory, ordering the prioress to keep her in close confinement and enjoining certain penances.
What was Archbishop Cortenay doing visiting a house where a woman of ill repute was living, eh?
By 1496 the priory had been reduced to utter ruin by the incompetence, extravagance, and dissolute life of the nuns, attributed to their proximity to the University of Cambridge, so that they could no longer maintain divine services and works of piety, nor even support their own community, which was reduced to two only, ‘of whom one is elsewhere professed and the other is of ill fame’.
Along came Bishop John Alcock to sort out this cathouse of ill repute. A case of nominative determinism if ever there was one.
He decided that despite a cupboard full of documents showing that all their land and buildings had been donated to these ladies – it didn’t belong to them at all – and he took the buildings over.
He turned it into Jesus College Cambridge, admitting men amongst other things. Absolutely disgraceful state of affairs; an early example of misogyny, and the determination of the patriarchy to stop women being independent, educated, and free to conduct their sex lives as they please…..
Which makes the current furore over Jesus College agreeing to return their battle hardened cock to Nigeria all the more curious.
Shouldn’t the feminists be demanding that that all the men be removed from Jesus college – along with their cocks – and the buildings be returned to their rightful inheritance for the education of the sinful sisters of Radegund?
They’ve been a bit slow on the uptake here. Shame on you Sisters!
Some days I just have to switch on the computer and they write themselves…

Oooo, Anna. You nearly had me there with the click-bait link. T’was only my habit of looking at URLs before clicking that saved me ( I’d already read about the Benin bronze).

That they were dissolute is hardly surprising given that, apparently, ‘the 12th-century seal of the convent shows St. Radegund standing with a knop-headed staff in her right hand’.

There’s a lot of anecdotes about early medieval Monasteries and Abbeys becoming houses of ill repute (and even some getting a ‘highly recommended’ on MedievalTripAdvisor.com). Didn’t know about Jesus College though.

None of this detracts from the obvious clear and totally accepted factual history of the fascist male chauvinist 3000 year unbroken plot using misanthropic propaganda to subjugate peace-loving women camped outside nuclear installations by using the mysogynist penis-myth of female inferiority did you know that Aristotle Plato Julius Caesar Claudius Michaelangelo Billy Cotton and Nat Lofthouse were all sisters whose superior talent could only break through by pretending to be men it’s true look troubl at the footage of the 1958 Cup Final you can see Natiana Lofthouse’s tits flopping about all over the place and as for that Theresa May they’ve done tests on her she has a rape fantasy every eight seconds she’s obviously a man just look at that Adam’s Apple you could spot it a mile off.
That’s the trouble today, the media is all controlled by men that’s why you can’t believe a word of it:

I often wondered what those nuns got up to.I read a hilarious list of suggestions of other lampoons about what male symbols could be eliminated. Article just been whisked away those men who collect rubbish. About time women did this job. Why should oppressed men have the task? The feminati are more interpreted in glass ceilings and power dressing than humble but vital tasks like cleaning drains and slinging our detritus on a growling monster rubbish munched. I once knew a very strange female who deserted her family to go camping out with the sisters to ban cruise missiles. Still got the cutting about her exploits. If her cohorts were similar to her…..God help us all. Good job I am as old as I am when that lot get positions of power. They are forcing these grotesque actions on the elite universities. The unis are being run by the children of 1965-1980, now in senior positions and giving in to the kids as usual. Those 2 crucial decades were liberating and are now suffocating free speech and expression, and have bred a strange lot of bossy, easily offended chumps, wimps and whiners.

Worth googling the Bethanki (Sisters of Bethany) in Poland. 7 or 8 years ago they were the main item on the news and a big topic of discussion. The whole country was enthralled by elderly nuns with Alsatians screaming obscenities at the news crews camped outside the gates of the convent. The church hierarchy didn’t know what to do at all and could barely hide their embarrassment. When the police finally broke into the convent (live on national TV) they removed several young women who were being held against their will.
The media in Poland is very wary of criticising the church, the police absolutely hate arresting clergy etc and confidentiality is strict there so there wasnt much follow-up to it all except for implications that the young women in question had been kept as sex slaves by the other nuns.

Quick correction, if you want to google it, it’s ‘betanki’, not ‘Bethanki’.
