Stoning
I am so flummoxed by this horror that I can’t really find anything useful to say, other than please read it and do whatever thing you can, be it great or small, to try and stop this.

As it’s not long* before the missiles are launched and the bombs fall on
Iran’s nuclear facilities, perhaps this unfortunate woman’s fate will help to
strengthen opinion against these barbarians.
It’s the Middle/Dark Ages for
Islam – Christianity was fairly barbaric too back then.
* A battle-group of
US & Israeli warships passed from the Med through the Suez canal, by
“special permission” of Egypt, heading for the straits of Hormuz. Kick off is
expected on 16th July.

I read somewhere that in Stoning cases men are buried up to their waists
while women are buried up to their necks.
If you can dig yourself out then
you are free to go.
I don’t know if this is true.
But while I consider the practice to be barbaric, you wouldn’t catch me
committing adultery in a Muslim country.

You be lucky to get caught doing anything in a Muslim country, you
wouldn’t be allowed out of the house.

1,000,000 marched against the war in Iraq because it was sold to the nation
on a false prospectus, and because an honest case for it was never made.
Moreover, many people believed that Blair was toadying to the Americans.
If Blair had come out and simply stated that Saddam Hussain’s regime was
evil and needed to be changed, then I think far more people would’ve supported
the war.
.
.
Anyway, I have signed the petition – albeit with altered
text – because, it is a barbaric practice.
I do note though, that last week Anna wrote a piece on how independent
muslim women were in India, and how exaggerated the prospect of the
establishment of a global caliphate was.
I wonder if she would like to reconcile the two articles.

Iran is modern day Nazi Germany.
Apart from invading what can we do?
Last time we invaded a country that systematically brutalised its people.
We had one million British people marching in the street against it.
Presumably, if Hitler were around today another million people would march
against a war opposing him.
This stoning is just another product of the evil of National Socialism, or
plain socialism, if you don’t care enough about the tiny difference.
Its sad, but what can we do, apart from remember what Iran is, when Israel
does what it is one day going to have to do with Iran.

While this is barbaric I don’t see that it is any concern of ours.
If people break the laws in their own country they do so knowing the
consequences. All it proves is that stoning isn’t a deterrent.
I do not welcome Muslims trying to impose their standards on us and we
should not try to impose our standards on them.

It’s not about imposing our standards but more like helping them into the
21s century. Have a read of this for a quite good summary: http://www.countingcats.com/?p=7180

“I do not welcome Muslims trying to impose their standards on us and we
should not try to impose our standards on them.”
I don’t say this often but…….
Their standards are wrong.

Well done.
http://bit.ly/drx4bu is
what stoning is, in case you don’t know.
We’ve got a fair few slebs pushing this too, including Bill Bailey, Richard
Bacon …
And one troll, arguing about it.
